59er Dinner.png

The 59er Diner was one of the first sites to host a Plug-In NCW haL2 (high amperage Level 2) charger back in early 2014.  When the diner burned several years ago, the charger was kept in service.
The diner is now back in operation, better than ever!  Come with your EV to show our appreciation for the 59er Diner’s continued support of EV travel!

Every EV will get one free 59er Diner awesome milkshake, courtesy of Plug-In NCW!  Other activities and fun are also being planned.

In addition to the Plug-In NCW haL2 charger, several Juice Box L2 chargers will be available.  And, there’s also a Tesla Supercharger and Aerovironment L3 in Leavenworth, 15 miles east of Coles Corner.

Pybus University - NDEW EV Education and Drive

Learn why driving an electric vehicle (EV) might be the single most significant action you, as an individual, can make to reduce global climate change emissions.

  • Learn why it’s more economical to drive an EV than a fossil fuel vehicle.

  • Learn about EV charging and how to find public EV charging stations.

  • Learn what to consider when buying or leasing an EV.

Several models of EVs, and their owners, will be available to see after the class.

This class is presented by members of the Plug-In NCW committee. Plug-In NCW is a non-profit, all volunteer committee under the umbrella of the North Central Washington Economic Development District. We promote the electrification of all forms of transportation and coordinate installation of EV charging stations at host sites throughout North Central WA. Educating people about EVs is an important goal. This presentation will also be part of the national Drive Electric Week events coordinated by Plug In America. www.pluginncw.com

e-Bike Burrito Ride

Because "Pedal Assist" or e-Bikes are putting many people back on a bicycle we thought it would be fun to get together and share experiences. The "e-Bike Burrito Ride" is an informal meet up, any brand of e-Bike is welcome, and to be honest any bicycle is welcome. If you just want to see and maybe try an e-Bike there will be some e-Bikes available for that too.

We plan to meet up near the EV charger at the Pybus Market for some "meeting and greeting", then we can ride some if we get around to it. If not, we will just talk then eat lunch at the South Restraunt which is in the Pybus Market. Even though the event has the word Burrito in it, you can order anything you like.

Charge across Washington

Plug-In NCW and the Wenatchee Electric Vehicle Association are sponsoring a demonstration drive this Spring. "Charge across Washington" is planned to highlight that an EV80 can now drive from Everett to Spokane along recently electrified US Highway 2. Our driver team, Randy and Anne are experienced Leaf drivers and their car "Bean" is the machine. The Mayor of Everett will send them off on the 7th of June with a letter to the Mayor of Spokane. We are organizing EV introduction events at the charging stops along the way. Our destination is the historic Montvale Hotel in Spokane. "Bean" can get a L2 charge while Ed and Wendy get some rest in one of their exceptionally nice rooms.

Pick a location to join us, signup at:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/charge-across-washington-tickets-31439910619

Can you help us? We really would like many Spokane area EVs to meet "Bean" and her drivers while they charge at Davenport, WA so that local residents that come by can see and talk to real EV drivers and hear about their experiences, challenges and triumphs. We also would like to have as many EV drivers as we can at the Montvale Hotel, Spokane, WA for the reception. So, we are not asking for your money, but we are asking for something more valuable, your involvement.
